The other side


Walking the street some man pulls an arm back with his fists clinched. I stop to look on half to see who will win and half to be there to intervene if I have to. Some men just take making a point too far. Well, anyways, he tugs my arm while looking in the other direction. He confesses he doesn’t want me to get hurt but after all these years I know him too well. He won’t look at me the rest of the walk home and when we arrive I decide to shower. He has this look on his face that he gets after looking at WebMd. I shake my head and throw him a beer before I jump in the shower. While in the shower I think of the many positions we haven’t tried. I shave everything and get distracted by the proper way to use the word…
